happy (late) new year! it’s definitely been awhile but it is a resolution to blog a bit more in 2014. the last few months of last year came and went, so i’d love to catch you up a bit:

folding bones news
i got the folding bones press facebook page up and running! i update it quite a bit more than the blog so “like” the page to keep up with everything happening in the letterpress world. i’ll even send you a little reward.

iota press happenings
aside from iota press moving into a bigger location, allowing more room for workshops, classes, and printing madness, the co-op members will be displaying their work at risk press in sebastopol during the month of february. sign up on the snail mail list for an invitation.

sonoma county wedding collective
i’m happy to announce my membership within the sonoma county wedding collective! we are a group of wedding vendors focused on bringing our handmade, artisan talents to local northern california weddings. part of the venture for me will be teaching couples how to hand print their own wedding invitations on antique presses. brides- and grooms-to-be will mix their own ink, feed their own paper, and create the wedding invitation suite of their dreams. stay tuned!

upcoming event at The Schulz Museum

come print with me at the Day of Innovation at The Schulz Museum! i will be there inking up little Kelsey and teaching familes how to print from 11-3.

“In the pioneering spirit of Charles Schulz and Ray and Charles Eames (who are featured in the Museum’s current Mid-Century Modern Exhibition), we have invited local artists, cartoonists, groups, organizations, museums, makers and creators to share their talents and experiments.

Visitors will make stop-motion movies, launch rockets, experiment with hands-on exhibits from the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County, learn origami, and become a cartoonist for the day. Analy High School’s Project Make laser cutter, Fundemonium, the Petaluma maker store, local fused glass artists Nancy and Brian Roberts, Mike Gray of Clumsy Love, Frank Roberson of Maximus, and other Sonoma County artists, hobbyists, and makers will share their work and engage visitors in doing, making, and creating!

Cost is regular Museum admission. Plus, it’s the 30th Anniversary Celebration of Snoopy’s Gift and Gallery. Enjoy 20% off all products in the Museum Store and across the street at Snoopy’s Gift and Brand Gallery.”
